  1. What are the goals the team has for the season?

“We’re just trying to win. We want to win conference, get into the NCAA tournament and see where we go from there.”
2. What are your goals for this season?
“I’m just trying to do everything I can to lead as a captain. I want to help lead them to wins.”
3. Have you played any other sports? If so, what has made you want to stick with basketball?
“I used to play a lot of sports when I was a kid. I stuck with basketball because that was the one I liked the most. It’s the best sport in my opinion.”
4. What are the most important things you have learned from playing basketball?
“You get skills from playing sports like time management because you have to balance sports with the school work. You gotta learn when to get your school work done. It definitely has helped with my discipline and time management.”
5. How do you balance academics and athletics?
“Obviously, academics are more important so those come first, but I really just try to get the school work and the academics done before basketball. If I wait too long then I’ll be up all night trying to catch up.”
6. What was the toughest game you’ve played?
“The toughest game for me personally was at UW-LaCrosse [this year]. As a team, we all played pretty bad and I had a bad game. It was tough and physical and it was on the road too.”
7. How did you prepare for this season?
“I stayed here during the summer and worked. We got summer workouts so pretty much everyday we were lifting weights or playing basketball. It was the same in thing in the fall before basketball started.”
8. What’s been your favorite experience with Augustana basketball?
“The best memory I have was two years ago when we went to the Final Four. That was a lot of fun because we were on a winning team and were a good group of friends. It was over in Virginia, we had to bus over and play. We made it to the national championship game, which we lost, but  the experience was great.”
9. What would you like to say to the Augie Community?
“Thank you for the support we get. It helps us a lot. For the remainder of the season, we’d love to see as many fans as possible.”
